This Real Party comes to you all the way from Brazil! Tharcilla of Antique et Romantique threw her son Yuri an Animal Safari Birthday Party for his 2nd birthday, with some help from her very creative Mom.
Safari Birthday Party Decorations
Tharcilla found my Safari Party Printables online and matched her party decor to the printables!
Bamboo blinds and a customized banner were used to make a backdrop to the party table.
Tharcilla printout her banner message using the banner pages in my Safari Party Printables. You’re not limited to just ‘Happy Birthday’ using my banner pages – you can print out your own message to fully customize your party! I love that they work in different languages too.
Round wooden blocks work well as display stands and help create a rustic safari theme. I also love the idea of using Yuri’s plastic animal collection to help decorate his party.
Safari Birthday Party Cake
Tharcilla calls this a layered ‘naked’ cake, and it lends itself perfectly to the rustic safari-style decorations.
Decorate with sparklers, a number candle, loads of nuts and some cute plastic play animals!
Cupcakes have been tied into the theme using the Cupcake wrappers from my Safari Party Printables.
Safari Birthday Party Food Ideas
Animal patterned papers have been trimmed to fit the top of small fruit boxes and party logos with animal silhouettes sit on top of small boxes of candy.
Both of these treats are placed in a wooden crate with some hessian to carry on the rustic theme.
2 year olds don’t need a large amount of snacks! Small cake pops – the perfect size for little 2 year olds – are placed in patty liners on a bamboo tray with some more hessian.
Tharcilla cleverly used the mini-candy wraps (normally used wrap around Hersheys Miniatures) to wrap rolls of lollies. Makes a great table centerpiece too.
Glass bottles with straws look great with dark grape juice. Don’t trust your little ones with glass bottles? You can use plastic ones instead.
Chocolate pudding is served in individual plastic cups and looks the part set on a wooden block.
Safari Birthday Party Favors
Guests were sent home with their favors packaged in Kraft boxes with a Safari Favor Tag stuck to the front.
