Check out this Army Birthday Party from Sarah over at Chai Days. Sarah’s son Zavier had his 9th birthday party with a laser skirmish Camo Birthday Party theme.
Camo Party Base Camp
Sarah set up “Base Camp” at the Laser Skirmish center for the boys to refuel with drinks and desserts.
The Camo Birthday Party theme decorations were purchased from Sarah’s local Army Disposals store. This is a great idea for where to go to purchase authentic Army themed party decor.
The old tin containers with Army stenciling and the hurricane lamp definitely look the part.
Camo Cupcakes
I love these camo cupcakes!
Sarah found a Camo Cupcakes tutorial to make these great Army themed cupcakes.
Green plastic army men sat atop the cupcakes to further tie them into the Army theme.
Other camo cupcakes had Cupcake Toppers from my Army Party Printables set inserted.
Sarah also personalized some of those with Zavier’s age.
Camo Birthday Cake
This large birthday cake was made using the same method as the cupcakes.
Sarah decorated the birthday cake with her boys’ own plastic army men and some Dog Tags that she bought with other party decorations at the Army Disposals store.
Sarah had the Dog Tags engraved with Zavier’s name and date of birth for a personal touch. They make a great keepsake for Zavier too!
Camo Birthday Party Food Ideas
Sarah has some fun and easy ideas for Army Party food.
These Cookies have been decorated with camo colored icing and placed in a rusted wire container lined with hessian.
Sarah personalized some Army Food Labels and stuck them to the front of glass mason jars. The Army themed “Canon Balls”, “Deadly Bullets” and “Radiation Grenades” all perfectly match the camo color scheme too!
Water bottles are dressed up with Army Water Bottle Labels. Sarah has waterproofed them to be able to keep them on ice (see here for how to cheaply waterproof water bottle labels yourself).
Camo Birthday Party Favors
Party guests were sent home with some Basic Training Rations.
This is a cute way to theme Army birthday party favors! Favor Tags with “You Survived Basic Training” were also attached.
